I have loved photography for as long as I can remember but my earliest memory of my first official photographic experience came at the age of 10, when I was given my very first camera for Christmas.  I shot anything and everything I could — grasshoppers, flowers, our pets, my brothers, our treehouse, my Barbies.  It wasn't until the age of 23, when I traveled to Paris and Monte Carlo that I realized the true depths of this passion.  Upon my return, I studied and researched everything I could in the way of composition, lighting and shooting techniques.  This passion has only grown since.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

My 20 years of experience in graphic design, event planning and corporate branding have been enough confirmation for me to know that the right side of my brain is what drives me.  Attending to every detail and making things look pretty is enormously fun.  With my transition to real estate and architectural photography, I have found new challenges and have loved every second of it — capturing an image is so much more than just clicking a button.  This is what I have always been meant to do.
